Guide
Set up your WooCommerce-to-Odoo integration
Follow these steps from start to finish to get your Chimkins integration running. Each step builds on the previous one.
Install the Chimkins helper module in Odoo
Before configuring anything in the dashboard, your Odoo instance needs the Chimkins helper module. It adds the custom endpoints that power the sync between WooCommerce and Odoo.
Follow the helper module guideConnect your Odoo instance
Open your integration dashboard and fill in the Odoo settings card: your Odoo URL, database name, user, and API token or password. Click Verify connection to confirm Chimkins can reach your instance, then Save settings.
Transfer Odoo webhooks
Once the Odoo settings are saved, click Transfer webhooks in the Odoo card. This pushes the webhook endpoints into your Odoo instance so it can send real-time events back to Chimkins.
Connect your WooCommerce store
In the WooCommerce settings card, enter your consumer key, consumer secret, and store URL. Click Verify connection, then Save settings. Choose an order prefix to keep orders readable if you run multiple dashboards on one Odoo.
Transfer WooCommerce webhooks
Click Transfer webhooks in the WooCommerce card to register webhook listeners on your store. This enables real-time order and product events to flow into Chimkins.
Set up payment mappings
Open the Payment Mappings section and map each WooCommerce payment method to the corresponding Odoo journal. This is required before you can enable automatic payment registration on invoices and credit notes.
Set up tax mappings
Open the Tax Mappings section and map your WooCommerce tax classes to the matching Odoo taxes. This is required before you can enable tax-inclusive product pricing during sync.
Configure sync options
Back in the Odoo settings card, review the checkboxes: auto payments, brand/category/tag/image sync, capture stage, quantity setting, and tax-related options. Some options are unlocked only after saving payment or tax mappings.
Run your first sync
Use the Sync Tasks panel on the right side of the dashboard to trigger a product sync, stock sync, or order sync. Watch the progress bar and check for any errors.
Monitor sync logs
Check the Order Sync Logs panel to verify orders are flowing correctly. Each entry shows the WooCommerce order, the Odoo result, and any warnings. If something looks off, adjust your settings and re-sync.
